Welcome
to the BriSh Foundation!

The BriSh Foundation is a charitable organisation dedicated to making a positive impact in the society.

History behind our name...

“Formal education system never interested me, even though I was faring quite well. It was sometime in 1993, as a seventeen-year-old, that I decided to change streams from science to commerce. It was a bold decision at that time and I wasn’t sure about the family reaction. After all, both my parents were highly qualified, with Dad having completed his B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur and MS from NDSU, USA & my Mother, a post graduate degree holder - MA in Child Psychology. I announced my decision to my parents, and further stated that I would like to join my father & his older brother, a B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur as well, in their business, an engineering Industry.

To my surprise, my father accepted my decision but with just one condition. He asked me to commence work immediately, and in the proverbial sense, ‘get my hands dirty’ with practical engineering knowledge.

I joined Dad & Tauji (older Uncle), in April 1995.

Today when I look back, I feel fortunate for their understanding and the condition that they put.

I wouldn’t be in this position if not for them imparting this necessary on-job education and training.

With both of them now approaching their

80s, this 43rd Annual Day & further progress

is an ode to them.”
